An enchanting setting with vibrant decor and lovely gardens provide the perfect backdrop for relaxation. While the staff are friendly, service inconsistency and slow dining experiences mar the stay. Rooms, though charming, need updates to meet modern standards. Food quality varies, and cleanliness sometimes disappoints. For a unique experience, a few adjustments could enhance this beautiful hotel.

The restaurant was good.

The room was classified "deluxe" but it was windowless, cold and dank. Really, a room without a window? The staff were unhelpful about the lack of an English language TV station. We have stayed in much better 2 star hotels than this 4 star hotel.

The hotel is located in a very beautiful and quiet place, a huge and well-groomed area with a swimming pool, breakfasts are delicious, the room amenities are modern and very comfortable!

Unique art and nice staff

The vibe here is totally artsy. I loved exploring the colorful decor. The staff were so friendly, especially when we asked to switch rooms for the second night, brighter and had a cute little balcony. Breakfast was solid too! Just a heads up, some areas could really use sprucing up, like the gardens.

The beauty of the Oliena area is magnificent. The majestic Supramonte are stunning and a must see for anyone traveling to Sardegna. Su Gologone is position in a perfect spot and has a roof top bar with the perfect view straight across from this natural wonder. The cuisine at Su Gologone is really worth the trip, as well. We really enjoyed the Degustazione (Tasting Menu) but also enjoyed other menu items for our other dinner and lunches and they were equally superb. The dining room is cozy and really lends to the feel of being in a mountain environment. The complimentary breakfast buffet was also superb and offered many meats, cheeses, pastries, etc. The view from open air breakfast dining area was quite spectacular, as well. The grounds of Su Gologone are really intricate, with a lot of different spots to relax, read or take a nap and great spots to enjoy an evening cocktail with gorgeous views. The spring water pool was a great size and very refreshing. Views of the Supramonte towered above the hotel and offered a fabulous view while lounging by the pool. Our room was small but cozy with cute decor and a nice, roomy balcony.

The mattress was old and pretty uncomfortable, unfortunately.

The wonderful location and setting. The staff were most friendly and attentive. We felt at home immediately on arrival. We had a delightful Junior Suite that was well located within the complex.

Long drives in the mountains to get anywhere on the east coast!

It was just a smart choice for a short stayover in Oliena with good value. Enjoyed breakfast overlooking the beautiful pool and valley. Make sure to explore the nearby walking trails for some fresh air.

Relaxing individual hotel with absolutely superb sunrise views. Stunning location close to the best beaches in sardinia. Based so close to green, trees and overlooking the mountains...

The morning meal was delicious with wonderful views and meats, for instance. The room I stayed in was large with a terrace. The location was beautiful, right by the mountains close to the gorge, the different restaurants and overgrown unkempt gardens, in a good area.

The artful decor throughout Gologone was enchanting, with vibrant murals and charming nooks. The lovely gardens offered peaceful strolls, with plenty of seating to relax and enjoy the beautiful views.

The hotel is located in the spectacular countryside. It is a good spot for visiting and trekking in the canyons. The hotel itself is full of beautiful artwork and unique Sardinan items. Our room was very comfortable and the dinner served was the best we had in our time in Sardinia- Fantastic

There were prolific rodent droppings in the library and covering the windowsills of our bedroom. We felt we could not keep the windows open. The pool area needed a bit of attention. At €200 per night these things should not be overlooked.

It was a lot of things in one hotel: art gallery, ancient bakery, excellent restaurant, nature around, luxury. A vety unusal hotel, which is worth coming back to.

Not all staff do speak languages other than Italian and the lady at the swimming pool was not very friendly.

a good stay with minor quirks

Our family enjoyed fine mountain views. The personalized service was amazing, with the staff handling our room change effortlessly. The vibrant decor blended beautifully with the surrounding nature.

There were quite a few stairs to navigate, which could be challenging for some guests.

The hotel was great with its vibrant art and beautiful gardens, perfect for peaceful walks. Dining on the terrace while soaking in the amazing countryside views was a highlight.
